The hardest part about creating a timeline was not putting all the information into TimelineJS, but instead gathering different sources to use in your timeline. It forced me to look for new perspectives and events that surrounded my topic while also making sure these items remained relevant to my central thesis. Navigating TimelineJS also took time, but towards the end it became fun and creative.
Including a timeline can serve many different purposes. It allows you to include different types of content such as images and videos along with descriptions or analysis all in one page. It can help frame smaller events and provide context as to how these events are all interconnected with each other. From the writers perspective it allows you to seek out these smaller events and gain greater insight.
